A totally new way to make threaded connections for PE and PVC hose-pipes. The hydrodynamically formed pipe facilitates a smoother flow of liquid at the same water-pressure which increases the amount by up to 25%.

A great advantage of this system is that the assembly time is markedly reduced. The pipe is pushed on to the grommet and then fixed on to the pre-assembled connecting piece using the threaded nut. In doing so a connection, which is able to withstand pressure up to a maximum of 4 bar (58psi) and temperature range from -15 to 80°C, is made. This system offers ideal preconditions for use in vehicle construction and housing applications.

All threaded elements can be easily disassembled and can then be reused. The component parts of the COMET X-FIX screw system are marked behind the hose grommet thread for the screwed nut. The external diameter of the respective elements to be fitted to the hose is variable between 13 and 17 mm.

The internal diameter of the hose is fixed at 10 mm. Screwable hoses are PVC hoses and PVC hoses (fabricreinforced) and PE tubing. The previously mentioned connector elements can of course also be used together with other screw attachments.

Then
1. Push fitting onto pipe
2. Apply Tool
3. Tighten nut (torque it)
